Where to buy wedding rings in Toronto?

Can one of my relative buy the main wedding rings?.?

  • ok i nedd experience help, please help no joke please.. ok, im getting married ina few months, but i would like to ask all of you is that who buys the wedding rings main one (not the engagemnet rigns) i was told by my family that i could ask one of my relative to buy them, as in our costumes we have what you would say, godfather of godmother, can i ask my aunt and her husband to be my wedding godmother and godfather and ask them to buy the rings? my native tradition have done this repeatedly, but im not sure as i am not close to my culture but it would sure save me alot of money if i have to pay for both rings... my family is half mexican and american.. so i dont know if i should follow my mexican side and ask one of my relatives to be my godmother..... please help.. thank you

    in mexican culture it is completely normal to ask someone to be the padrino of the rings, and its considered an honour to be asked. just make sure you do it in a formal way, and dont ask someone who will struggle to afford it. they will then have a place in the catholic ceremony where they present them you can also have padrinos for other aspects, ask your family for advice

Traditionally the groom/grooms parents buy the brides wedding ring and the bride/brides parents buys the grooms ring. But now a days people do whatever they want or have to do. Since it's customary for your family to have the godparents buy the rings then by all means do it. If you're too uncomfortable asking, can your parents ask for you? Since they made these people your godparents they must be close with them.

I have never heard of asking someone to buy your weddings rings for you. The groom buys the bride's ring and the bride buys the groom's ring. I don't care if you're Mexican, Greek, Italian and Irish. If you can't afford wedding rings that can cost less than $100 each, then you have no business getting married. And don't try to stand on a custom or culture that you seem to know nothing about.
