How do you catch regigigas in pokemon platinum?

  • I looked it up on bulbapedia but what it tells me is that you need to have a regigigas already in order to catch regice, regirock, and registeel. Then once you've caught those three then you can catch regigigas. Obviously, that doesn't make any sense. If you already have a regigigas, why would you need to catch another one. I think I'm misunderstanding something because I don't think gamefreak would be so stupid as to create a loop like that. So, how do I catch him?

    Transfer the three Regis from Ruby, Sapphire or Emerald. You can only get the Regis in Pt if you have an event Regigigas.
