Do you think photos taken on an iPhone will ever be as good as those taken on a normal camera?

The iPhone's camera is getting more sophisticated, so I was wondering how professional photographers thought about its capabilities... These are some photos I've taken on my iPhone, by the way... http://www.flickr.com/photos/matthewdbprice/6884598270/lightbox/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/matthewdbprice/6824019432/in/set-72157629352365486/lightbox/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/matthewdbprice/5718623715/in/set-72157629352365486/lightbox/

Answer:
Not with the current technology. Maybe when the device is connected directly to the human brain and has the processing power and software to interact with the photographer's knowledge and thoughts. Then the limits of the sensor could be overcome.

Nope. No matter how much the iPhone improves, the same technological advances will make "normal cameras" better as well. Physics wins -- iPhone images on a tiny sensor with a tiny lens will never be as good as images from a larger sensor and better lenses. Never. Peace.

While the sensors are improving the full light path is not really improving on camera phones. So you'll never get the full flexibility.
