Can you put an alarm system in an old car?

I have a dodge 93 caravan with an alarm system some one put on cant shut the alarm off to start car?

    My suggestions are try looking up the manufacture of the aftermarket alarm online and then look up the model they may have the wiring info so that you can actually fully disconnect the alarm system and make sure that all the original car wiring is connected up properly.Once you've the alarm system fully disconnected and have solid connections on the original wiring the vehicle should start.Note many times what ppl use to attache/connect up the aftermarket alarm systems may end up damaging or thinning the wires in the car so be extra careful taking these wire connectors off and be sure to check the original wires very carefully. Hope that helps and best of luck.By the way if after you have fully disconnected the alarm system and the car still doesn't start you may need to test these wires and circuits with a voltage/ohms meter and test/check all the fuses etc.
