Did i get charge with DUI/DWI? need help cause im really freaking out.?

First. This is by far the biggest mistake and foolish thing i have ever done. Ok so lastnight i was heading home from the club about 4:30 in the morning. On my way home i ran a red light somewhat (we both had the right a way but i was supose to let the car on the other side go first but we both took off at the same time and i hit his car right in front of two police car)and got in an accident with three other vehicle. the cops was right there so they saw everything. i honestly think the accident was my fault because i should have wait until the other driver pass. Anyways i pulled over to the side with the other drivers and the cops. the cops take down whatever information they normally takes down but the only info i had to give them was my driver license info and thats it. The sent the other drivers home and let me stay behind. the did a seach in my car and found a empty bottle of volka in it. The cops told me that it is illegal to have open liquor in your vehicle. i admit to the cops i was drinking about 9:00pm the night but at the time of the incident i was completely sober up. Im 20 year old so i had no business drinking in the first place. Anyways the cops didn't give me any information, they didn't ask if i'm drunk, they didn't take down my insurance info or nothing. all they did was write down my license plate number and my info on my drivers lincense. i didnt get a ticket or court date from them or any information at all. all they did was write down my Dl info and send me home. I just want to know if i can get charge with DUI/DWI even though they didnt test me to see if i was under the influence? What paper work will i get in the mail? Do i have to go to court? Any information would be helpful. Cause i just got at the airport as a ramp agent and im just really worried i might lose my job and also im worried i might get in trouble with the millitay cause im in the army reserves. im really freaking out cause i dont know what will happen and this my first time ever getting in trouble with the law. please help so i know what to expect?

LOL. Awesome cascade of errors. They "did a search of your vehicle." On the very few times I've been asked this, in 25 years on the road, I love saying: "I do not authorize any searches." 4th Amendment, hallelujah. But, they may have had PC in your case. Or, you consented. Next time just don't consent, OK? Any search "might" then be illegal. A fine point, but sometimes comes up in trial as illegal searches invalidate evidence found. Likewise admit to no drinking earlier or at any time, K? In fact, say nothing at all next time other than your name and address. The rest will be used against you. Confronting the police is amusing, not "scary," if and-only-if you're defending your rights. My only (rare) beef, so to speak, with LEO is they sometimes intimidate others into compliance to buttress their own case. Not to help you. Odd they didn't breathalyze or any other part of the routine. At this point, hours later, you can make up any story you want. Bummer that vodka bottle was there, and that probably went on the citation. Honestly not sure if that will come up again in the case. I wouldn't worry about this all that much until you get whatever is due in the mail. Then deal with it. If serious, retain an attorney once you figure out how to raise the money to do so. Not to mention whatever you have going on with insurance, or lack-of. IF the military requires you to report this, I suppose you will have to do so. They have a different code of conduct and failing to report may be bad news. I'd research that, were I you. Likewise, might want to read your employment agreement that you just signed with airline X, too, on same theory. Otherwise, say little else to anyone.

You'd better ask the police and then you will know for sure.

Without a sobriety test in evidence, even if they did charge you with a DUI, it would never stand up in Court.

No you were not charged with a DUI/DWI. They basically took down your information for the accident as you had valid insurance and a driver's license for their report on the accident. As you didn't appear to be under the influence they let you go.
