How to petition at school?

How do I make a petition for school?

  • Not as an assignment. I want to make a petition to the school. We have two buildings. We used to be able to exist through any door and enter through the only door that is unlocked. Now We have to enter and exit through one door. It gets crowded, and it isn't a door that is always unlocked school ours. Teachers have to let us in. It wastes their time, increases the chances of us getting tardies, and no reason to do it. There are cameras, and there isn't many people running away. If someone wants to run away, that wouldn't stop them. It is just ridiculous. I want to create a petition to change it back. The principal and teachers complain about tardies, but they made it where it is easier to get tardies. How do I create a petition to change it back? I know a lot of people who think it is crazy. Even teacher think it is extremely stupid of them to do that. I am using my constitutional rights to petition (1st amendment for those who don't know) So I can't get in trouble for this. If I do, my parents said they would take it to court. I know parents have the rights to searches and seizures, but they don't have the right to not let me write a petition, and schools don't have that right either. If they do, that is just stupid. I never wrote a petition before. What do I do to write a petition for the school?

  • Answer:

1 Contact the administrative office of your local government. Request for petition guidelines. Find out how many signatures you need and whether your petition needs approval before being circulated. 2 Research your topic so that you understand the various positions fully. 3 Write a short summary of your cause. People won't stick around to read something long, so make it simple and to the point. Make sure it (1) describes the situation, (2) suggests what is needed and (3) explains why it is needed. 4 On a separate page, create a signer's form. With the petition title on top top, divide it into five columns with a ruler. Label the columns: Name, Address, Phone Number and Signature and voter registration number. Each volunteer will need a copy of the petition, with a signature form.
