Advice on paying for items just through paypal and not ebay?

  • hi, im trying to buy an item on ebay and would like to get it a bit cheaper. the seller says he will reduce the price and send out the item after payment clears to his paypal account. he says "i am a verified business on paypal so you have buyer protection anyway so your 100% safe even if you want to return the item if it doesn't fit i can refund also". so if i purchase just through paypal and he doesnt send the item, can i get my money back if i file a complaint with paypal? also, how do i check he is a verified business on paypal?

    sounds like hes trying to con you, Ask yourself these 2 questions If he is a verified business and 100% said - why is he waiting for your payment to clear before sending the item? Are you willing to take the risk for whatever saving you are making by getting it a "bit cheaper".?
