How to write screenplay for a movie?

  • I'm really new to this, i'm not looking a to be a producer or director. I just thought i'd try my best to make screenplay and a script for a new Mortal Kombat movie. I thought to myself, since they couldn't make a good movie for the game series after the failure of the original film and annihalation, i could make one, send it in to a good producer such as michael bay or wes craven who would be willing to make it happen. Maybe they would try it. So i'm starting now and don't know how to write it. I know what i want to happen if you get my drift...but..is there anything like HEADER: or INTRO:? i'm confused.

    As you don't have the rights to the characters or the franchise, you're wasting your time. You can't even show the work to anyone without having the rights. Furthermore, you can't 'send' work to anyone; no one accepts unsolicited materials - especially people like Bay or Craven.

Google search some tutorials and take notes of scenes on a piece of paper. Ask the creators of the video game if possible, if you can make a script for this movie. And, by the way, this looks like a good idea.
