What are my rights as a student when my school uses CCTV?

Answer:
The only rights you have regarding CCTV is for there to be no cameras where you would reasonably expect things to be private..like the bathrooms and the changing rooms. And please list the school that you KNOW have cameras in those places and pass that info along to the news media................... Basically the cameras within schools are both for your protection and to slam you if needed.

cctv is there for your safety and security. The only ones it should worry are people who are doing things they shouldn't. There are too many goody goody people in the world banging on about human rights. Some people should waive any claim to human rights with there actions.

The only place that you have any expectation of "privacy" in in the bathroom stalls/urinals, or in the locker room where you change/shower. Every place else is a "common" area that they can monitor.
