What are the differences between Pittsburgh and Philadelphia?

Pittsburgh v. Philadelphia?

  • I currently go to school at a 4 year college in a small town. The school is extremely easy to get into and isn't a very impressive school to graduate from. Therefore, I am thinking about transferring. Two of my options are the University of Pittsburgh and Temple University. (Temple is located in Philadelphia) So that brings me to my question, Pittsburgh or Philly? I love the city, but my only concern is the safety. Is one city more dangerous than the other? Which is more fun to live in? Stuff like that. Thanks in advance!

    For safety I would say Pittsburgh because Philly is a big city it is bigger than Pittsburgh, but in pittsburgh you want to avoid the ghetto areas like homewood, Clairton, areas like that. And Philly has its areas to but I don't know them cause I live in the Pittsburgh area. And their are fun things to do in pittsburgh like pirates games, steelers games, carnegie science center, rivers casino, Andy Warhol museum, Carnegie museum, plays at the benedum center and alot more

Pitt sucks.... Come ON Be a Owl! Safety? Temple has a better Police PD than some small towns. Plus unlike Penn State Our showers are Kid rapist free.

i would choose temple although the area is not known to be safe.
