My Sims 3 content won't install?

How to install Sims 3 custom content?

  • Hi, I really would like to get some new hair and clothes for my sims but... i don't what to do with them once i've downloaded them. I need some help. When i download the file it has a blank icon (you know the one; windows can not display this file blah blah) 1. What program are you supposed to open the file with 2. I have my sims3/mods/packages folders done but people are talking about this resource.cgf or something, do you have a link to where i can download this file free 3. Then do i put the cc files in the packages folder or..... 4. How do i install them Please help, can you tell me how you did it!!? Thanks.

    Okay that resource thing you're talking about IS the package. You can't open or read it, you can only drag that file into the packages folder and that's it. If you're talking about when you open the zip and you see like a piece of paper with a folded tip icon then yes, this is the package. It's not readable, you don't need a program. You simply drag that into the packages folder and it goes into your game. goodluck
