How do you earn points on Yahoo?

How many points on yahoo answers do you think a person should earn each week?

  • Without being considered an yahoo answers addict? Sometimes I see users who earn over 1000 points a day and I be like whoa! I think a person should earn maybe no more than 50 points a day. So by the end of Sunday they probably should have 350 points earned a week. Give or take a little more or less depending on best answers received, and how many questions they ask. What is your opinion?

    I think that it is up to the user on how many points they earn and how much time they spend on this site. A lot of users like to use their daily quotas and earn as many points as they can. If I use my daily quota of votes I can earn 200 points in a day and that means 1,400 points at the end of the week. Once users are level 5,6 and 7 it is unlimited answer and ask, so if you want them to earn 50 points it means that they only answer 25 questions. You have to remember that some users are housebound and therefore will spend a lot of time on this site, others (like myself) are retired so can spend as much time as they like. For some users English is not their first language so they tend to use this site to practise their English.
