    I gotta say Rock Band. Sure, Guitar Hero Came first, but over time they just added a crapload of emo songs that really suck. (in fact, a failure to put any Led Zeppelin or Hendrix on either game is a crime worthy of the death penalty, most likely by Jimmy Page smashing their skulls in with his double necked guitar) Plus, with Rock Band, you can do two things at once, like sing and play guitar/bass, or sing and play drums. Or if you're really skilled, drums and guitar. Amazing.

Rock Band is easily superior to Guitar Hero. In addition to the guitar aspect, you also have drums, keyboard, and vocals. And that's not to mention the outstanding track record sported by every iteration of the game.
