Could I possible improve my reading comprehension?

How can I improve my reading comprehension?

• Well... I really need to improve my reading comprehension because I am no good at it. I never seem to find all the important things, but can understand what the story/text is about. Whenever I do tests with reading comprehension, I get low marks and I want to get better at it. I've never been good at it. I also want to improve it quite quickly (obviously I can't get great with it so quickly, but I want to be much better). I have an extremely important exam in less that 2 months, so I want to be as prepared as possible and I want to do the best I can. So... any ideas? Maybe some website links? Books? Or any of your ideas... because I have no clue. I'm going to read more books in this period of time... but I'm not sure if it can improve my reading comprehension... as in the actual part of answering questions. It MIGHT by a tiny bit though... maybe. I'm not very good with my vocab, so that might be another reason.

  Read at least 25 minutes a day, and try to find words in the book you don't know, so you can learn them from the dictionary. Try to ask random questions about the story, like what do i think will happen next? or why did the character feel this way. Do crosswords and play reading games. You can go look for some reading game by going to google and search for some.
