Sharp twisting stomach pain & liquid stool (long)?
-
Since about 13 hours ago nowI've been feeling discomfort in my abdominal area. It started out on my drive to work and it was really excruciating, like a knife twisting, just really hurt. When I got to work I tried to use the washroom but it just didn't happen, but I tried again an hour later and I had a solid bm. Except the pain didn't really let up. Around 7pm I just couldn't take it anymore and went home, it had let up a bit by then and my drive was Scott free feeling. Thinking I just got lucky and had a free Saturday night, made a dumb decision to eat a fudgesicle. I nestled into bed afterwards and took a nap and woke up around 12am feeling a little gross but nothing painful was happening. So I went back to sleep. At 3am ish I woke up with the pains from earlier but about 30 times worse, I tried every laying position and sitting but it was so unbearable!! I really felt like I should go to the hospital but I'm very light headed and when I stand I get dizzy and fall over. I called a nurse line we have here but she didn't really tell me anything I didn't already know. Not to eat, and go to a doctor immediately if the pain is as bad as I'm saying it is. :/ a little after I got off the phone with her I went to the washroom and then had a very painful stabbing cramp in my again while I was letting loose of watery stool. I didnt feel relief afterwards and I went back about 20 minutes later to do the same thing. I felt a little better after so I decided to shower to let the steam lossen any knots in my stomach. After standing for about 5 minutes I had to sit down and collect myself because it hurt so bad I felt like I was about to vomit, I got up slowly and then sat back down again from the same feeling. Got out of the shower and sat on the floor wrapped in my towel waiting for the pain to pass so I could run to my room. I quickly got dressed and had to use the bathroom again with the same result. Currently feeling okay, but I'm nervous of what it is. :( help?

Answer:
No other symptoms, and symptoms occurring post ingestion of food (fugescicle whatever that is) leads to likely gastritis. Treatment if normally healthy is symptomatic, that is hydration and electrolyte replacement (sports drinks etc), if ongoing diarrhea use of over the counter meds may be beneficial. Symptoms should pass over days.
