Children's book about developmental issues?

Need a plot to a comic book involving social issues(racism, sexuality, gender)?

• So for my final in my ENGL 219 class(English and the other Arts), I am giving the option to do a 6 page paper or a comic book. Since im not that awesome in rhetorical analysis, I chose to do a comic book. Im pretty awesome at drawing, so I Im pretty happy with this option. The only thing is, im suppose to make this plot involving a social issues that we have discussed in class. Social issues can be involved with racism, gender inequality, sexuality(homophobia). In class we basically compare the literature to the movie, and how the message is different in translation. We studied: Madame Butterfly (involving Orientalism) The Dutchman (involving racism, sexuality(hyper sexual) Persopolis (discrimination, gender, feminist views) Brokeback Mountain(homophobia and society) V for Vendetta (gender, sexual orientation, racism, discrimination, justice, violence and art) So If you can give me idea on how the plot should go, the only thing I got so far is a girl waking up saying "whats the point, I have bad grades, Im strugglin, I HATE smart people." As I was drawing this I was thinking of me waking up to go to school, and the first chapter is called "Once Upon a Dime." Not to sure why, It just sounded awesome to begin the book. So If you can give a good rough plot on the comic, it would be really amazing.(: And maybe if you want social issues to be disscussed in the book give ideas, i want to drop little subtle hints on what's going on with the world in the comic. The comic is going to be around 30 pages, probably more though. THANK YOU(:
