• im really 17. anyways, my wallet got stolen. my bank card was in there and it had my SS number on it. i didnt get it back until 7 months later. But in the mean time, my mom lost my SS card. -_- im turning 18 in october but i plan on working all this summer so i can get an apt. soon after my birthday. my aunt suggested i check to see if anyone used my SS number to get credit cards. but since im not 18, is it even possible for them to do that? i tried using freecreditscore.com but im not 18 so i couldnt. if they can use my SS number, how else can i check NOT using the internet? i dont feel comfortable using online sites to check my credit score. i want to avoid any problems that might affect me getting an apt. in october.

  Since you're still a minor (under 18), you can not run a credit report. Once you're 18 though, just call Trans Union toll free at 1-877-322-8228 for all 3 credit reports. As for your social security card, all your mom has to do is call them at 1-800-772-1213 for a duplicate
