Can I make homemade paper without a blender?

What type of blender should i use for chopping up fruits and vegetables to make a drink?

  • hi i currently have a cheap 20 dollar blender and i wanting to start chopping up fruits and vegetables and putting them in the blender until they are juice and then drink each morning I'm trying to figure out if i can get all the nutritional benefits with using a 20 dollar blender for this or if i need a 350 dollar vitamix blender to get the most nutritional benefits? so whats the difference between a 20 dollar blender a 350 vitamix blender? thanks!!

  • Answer:

nothing but a lot of Gs lol i don't think there is any nutritional benefits from using a high end blender versus a less expansive one.

Cheaper kitchen blenders like the one you have can't blend fruits and veggies into the consistency you want. They actually turn out quite lumpy and have a thicker pulp. This makes it less enjoyable to drink. However, you don't need to spend $350.+ to buy a Vitamix. I recommend the Omni Blender which sells for $250. and comes with a 7 year warranty. You will enjoy all the smoothies you want and the nutritional benefits that go with them. The Omni can chop ice too which is nice to add to your drink. I use a juicer for this type of thing, or a magic bullet which has helped me out quite a bit.

Hello Craig, As long as you $20 blender can work, go for it! My tip (and I got it from someone else) is to put a $1.00 aside every time you use your blender. Then when your blender goes, you will have money toward a better blender. My advice, you really don't need a Vitamix. Go for the best (and cheapest) heavy duty blender when you current one dies. I got my $75.00 blender off of EBay for about $50.00 and really do like it. The real difference between what you have and the expensive brands (other than the price) is that brands like the Vitamix will last and last and really blend smooth. So for right now, make sure that you add enough liquid and blend for several minutes.
