What should I do to follow up on my online job applications?

When should I follow up on job applications?

  • I started applying for summer jobs. I get out of school in 5 weeks. I go to college out of state and it would be nice to start working the week after I come home. Anyway, I applied for some jobs online and I want to know if I should wait another week or two to follow up or should I email the managers now? Even though I can't start for 5 weeks would it be a good idea to get the managers to try and look at my applications now. I don't know when they actually start interviewing people for the summer.

  • Answer:

Try emailing them 2 weeks after you have applied. Thats usually when they start calling people back at the latest.
