What is the best career option in biology except medical?

I dont know what career path to choose?

  • I am currently in year 12 and still unsure of my future. I am leading either towards a career in art or science. The thing is I used to be so good at science for my School Certificate I received 88 in year 10. But now in year 12 I am taking biology and just not getting it. Barely 50%!!!! I am studying its just I am not getting my head around the concepts. I really enjoyed science about the planets and the environment but there was no option for that at my school. Art on the otherhand is lovely. I should easily get a band 6 in both the theory and prac side. I do love art but its the only subject that frustrates me! My parents are happy on becoming a medical scientist but I am doubting myself because of biology how am I supposed to become a scientist if I cant even get 70% in biology! I am not good at technical maths either but I usually get the basics etc. Whenever I mention "Bachelor of visual arts and design" my parents just ignore it and say I thought you had already decided. I know the industry is hard to get into but I do possess high artistic skills. Any advice?

    you are young so you have so much time to discover, try new things, experiment. I am 21 and I still don't know what I want to do! Yet one should not plan out ones life as one would perform a play, no life is completely different! One can experiment in this play! Every moment is new and unknown and you can literally do anything. It suffices to say young lad you have quite a journey ahead of you, one that has no destination. Don't worry about the technical stuff, I too am in biology which is fun to be in nature all the time but it is always you that decides and not your parents. They may want the best for you but they also would like to shape you according to their whims so don't forget to remind them your your own special person and delight in that fact. Remember life is self discovery, moment to moment to moment, what lay ahead is always unknown but to journey on is a real adventure

Yet one should not plan out ones life as one would perform a play, no life is completely different! One can experiment in this play! Every moment is new and unknown and you can literally do anything. It suffices to say young lad you have quite a journey ahead of you, one that has no destination. This probably isn't good advice but follow your dreams and do what you want to do. But, otherwise I'd go with astronomy ;) because planets are awesome! Hope this helped :D P.S. If a subject that you want to go with isn't in your school, maybe you can switch schools?
