Hello! Okay I download cc like everyday so I should be able to help haha. Okay, first thing you should know is that when it comes to custom content there are 2 forms that you can get it in. A package file or a sim pack (sp). When it comes to mod the sims everything is packaged because of smaller size and bandwidth and all these things.. When it comes to packages it's a bit more difficult than the sim pack because you have to 1:Go to 'my documents' 2: Click 'Electronic arts' 3:Click the sims 3 4:There's going to be a bunch of folders look for the folder 'Mods' Within that folder there are 3 folders click 'Packages' When you download a package file it should come in a zip folder, Just double click to open and you should see the package. Just drag that into your packages folder for the sims 3 NOT the whole zip folder, just the contents inside. Sometimes it's one thing, sometimes it's many depending on what you're downloading. I understand that this can be confusing, especially without a live demo or something and this is why sim packs are so much better. Usually TSR (the sims resource) sim packs EVERYTHING. I rarely find packages on that site. With the sim packs all you have to do is download open the zip folder and you should see a sim pack. Just double click it and the sims launcher should open. A sims window will open and you'll see a green bar loading. Then it will show you all the downloads and whether or not they succeeded in downloading. When they're all done it will say success! and you can close it. Tips: * I recommend not using packages for custom content if they are not mods (things that modify your game such as making your sims nude or or lip and breast sliders. Things like that.) Things like that are worth it. However, if you just wants hairs or clothes or things of that sort you should stick with the sim packs because they're so much easier to work. * Also, with sim packs I suggest you create a folder and download everything you want to that folder. When you are done simply extract everything in that same folder or to another empty one and double click all of the sim packs. You can tell tehy are sim packs because it'll say the names of the items you downloaded and it'll have a sim icon next to it. * Double-click the sims packs fast because if you slow down or stop the launcher will assumed you're done and begin to download the things you selected before you stopped and download those. Just always remeber where you left off because if you have a long list of custom content it can be hard to keep up with the clicking so fast. Just double check to make sure everything is downloaded. You can double check by opening the launcher (It should already be open if you're using sim packs) And just click downloads. Everything you ever downloaded will be there. It's also useful if you decide you don't want something, you can delete it there. Not everything looks as good in the game as it does in pics) * Understand that certain things wont appear or won't work and you may download something by accident that requires expansions you don't have so some content may be missing say from a house or something. Always be conscious of that, and if something doesn't succeed try again! From another website, or just move on. For one thing that doesn't make it to your game, there's always something better that will. The sims universe is large my friend :D Here are a list of my personal favorite websites :D And GOODLUCK. Feel free to write back for anymore questions because everyone deserves beautiful simmies. I hope this helped Websites: thesimsresource.com(Search for Pralinesims. Lots of free AMAZING content & sims2fanbg has lots of sexy cute clothes) modthesims.info rubb3rducki3s.blogspot.com anubis360.blogspot.com for hairs (*note: you'll see a choice between ea highlights or adjust shine. Get adjustshine. EA highlights are so dull haha) These are just a few. I'm sorry this is so long. But I hoped I helped. :D
