Whats wrong with my ps3?

ok i just got a new 24" inch dynex tv and theres a problem when i connect my ps3 to it. everytime i go to play a game the screen blacks out and i cant play the game. i hear the sound but no video. same with the psn store and netflix. it didnt do this on my other tv why is it happening on this tv. also i have full acess to the main screen when you turn on the ps3. i called sony and they told me to reset my video and audio settings or something like that i did what they said and it didnt work. if it helps i use the red yellow and white wires not an hd cable. also it always for xbox360 but not the ps3 when i try to play a game pleassse help!

The issue probably resides in the "video output" settings you have selected from your older television. Hook the PS3 back up to the television it worked fine on, and then go into settings, and change the settings to what your new tv is. Make sure to set the output resolution on your television to something that your PS3 can display to. For example, if you're going from the composite cables (red yellow white) to HDMI or component, you need to tell your PS3 that you want to display using that specific way. Then, plug it into the television, restart both the PS3 and the television, and see if that works. Make sure your television input is matched up with the port that the PS3 is plugged into (look for an input button on your remote). Sorry if I explained that like you were 5 - hopefully it helps. maybe its just your av cable... try using a different cable or gettin a hd cable
