How easy is it to switch high schools during the school year?

Should I switch high schools for my sophmore year?

• So I really wanted to switch schools for my sophmore year. I'm currently a freshman, and I go to a small private school. Is this a really big change? I was debating whether I should switch to this other private high school about the same size as mine (250 per a grade) or the public high school near my house(1000 per a grade, pretty big since it's the only public one in our town). The thing is I have a the academics are better at the public one, but I know absolutely no one and it would be hard to fit in. At the other private high school I know atleast a couple people and it would be easy to make friends. I don't want to be depressed with no friends(I tend to get depressed very easily), but I don't want a crappy education. What should I do?? I hate my current school and there is no way I want to go back.

  Private school. Even if you don't know anyone there, hey, worth a shot to just meet new people and become new friends with others. The teachers are brilliant there, they actually treat each student equally. I mean, you name it: which do you chose? A better social life or a better education?
