Question about the study in Germany (specially to German People)?
-
Hi, I'm 20 and I study "Production Engineering and Metallurgy" in University of Technology of Iraq/Baghdad, now I'm in my 2nd year. I'm thinking of the immigration to Germany and continuing my study there after learning the German language...but I was wondering that if I decided to immigrate and study there, would I continue my study from where I left it, I mean from 2nd Grade of the same field which is "Production engineering and metallurgy" ?, or I'll have to start from the beginning...from 1st grade??. and one more thing...can you please list me some of the German Universities that include "production Eng. and Metallurgy"...that would be so helpful. THANK YOU ^_^

Answer:
Hi :) I live in germany and I'm an upcoming student :) (I'm going to study something totally different but I maybe can help you :) ) so : generally you CAN go on from the level you stopped in your hometown. Despite this it can happen that universities don't accept for some reason. some of them want a certification or you have to make a test so they can compare your level to the one that is required for level 3. if you have enough knowledge and the possibility to learn in german/ well some teach in english, too then you are able to continue without any problems. :) the best is: lookingfor universities with your studies and write / or call them or read on their website for entry requirements :) I am not really into technology but I did a small research on production engineering. the following site can be read in english. even if the don't have your special studies. ask at the office page if they know were . http://www.uni-kl.de/index.php?id=9250&L=1&S=0
