How do I convince my mom to let me wear makeup?

You can always try compromising with her... I read an article written by Aly and AJ, or maybe it was a question and answer type thing, but anyways. I read that what they did to convince their Mom is that they made a compromise and asked if they could just wear mascara on their top eye lashes, and only wear super light make up, like a light foundation that blends in just to cover blemishes if you have any, and a light shade of eyeshadow with a little shimmer. That's how I started out too, I asked if I could just wear a foundation to cover like blemishes and zits, and my parents said it was okay, and then I only wore light mascara, and only a light color shimmery eye shadow, and it looks natural, but very pretty. Natural is always the best way to go, try asking her if you can try this out, it might help you convince her. And if she does let you end up wearing makeup, always wear it light! don't wear THAT dark of make up, or layer it on, just keep it simple and pretty, it usually looks best :D Good luck! I convinced my mom to get me makeup at like 10. Ask her what makeup she might consider letting you practice with and just wearing it at home, not to school. If you put it on correctly and make it look natural, she might let you wear more and practice with it. Let her see that you can make it look nice and natural and you will not wear more than she wants you.

You don't need it.Promise you'll only wear it naturally and to enhance your features, and say you'll only wear mascara or a light eyeshadow.

i use dinair airbrush makeup and it covers up everything and it makers my skin look flawless but it super natural looking at the same time...its also all water based so its not bad for my skin because it doesnt clog my pores...my younger sister uses it too and she loves it as much as i do...maybe if your mom knew all the facts about dinair...i hope i helped ion some way =)

My mom didn't let me wear makeup untill I was fifteen. It was my first year of high school. You don't need makeup when your 13 or 14. I know all of your friends do it but just because they do doesn't mean you should. Most girls at the age cake their faces with foundation covering up their skin and only make it worse. Also I've noticed a lot of girls over do eye makeup giving up the Raccon Look. That is not pretty at all don't do it. Makeup is bad for your skin. It's also a pain taking off. Just tell your mom that you would like to wear SOME makeup your fourteen you don't need a whole lot. Light Eyeshadow a little bit of powder mascra and some lip gloss and you are good to go.

i think your mom have her truth opinion dear, girls will look older soon if she often use make up. you may try to only use compact powder and lipgloss if you want, it will be prompt on your age. i think your mom will permitted you to use those things. And you may ask your mom to use full make up like eyeshadow, eyeliner, blush on, or lipstick when you will going to any party. If you only use simple make up like only compact powder and lipgloss, you will look so pretty different when you do full make up in a special events :) and, not use make up in an early young will have a good impact to your skin face later, dear.. trust me, im almost 23y.o now, and many ppl guess me 18 sometimes ;) your mom loves you ({})

I was just like you when I was your age. I way always into makeup but couldn't wear it. So I started late and now feel inexperienced. Firstly, ask her politely and do not whine if she says no, this will make her more strong headed about not letting you do it. Also don't tell her other girls your age wore/wear make up this will make her immediately say no. Tell her you feel like make up is your passion, and you love that you can express yourself. Tell her what you like about makeup (ex: I love makeup because i'm very creative and it's a form of art.) good luck and I hope she says yes.
