Does my hair fall out too easily?

Will my hair fall out?

• I last dyed my hair with a home care product before Xmas with a dark red/mahogany colour. I had roots coming through and a lighter colour on the top than the bottom, I just wanted a lighter colour throughout my hair and it to be even. I didn't touch my hair at all for 4 months and this Thursday I decided I wanted to have blonde in my hair and it to be even again so I went to a salon. As my hair is so dark she had to first strip the colour. It went ginger. she then did a full head of highlights of blonde and light brown. she washed it out and the top was too light as my roots had come through so she put more darker highlights in the top of my head and left it for half an hour. My new colour all over is a light strawberry blonde going from a dark uneven brown. I love it and think the hairdresser did a great job! However my friend who is also a hairdresser said my hair could now fall out as she put colour strip on my hair and put bleach on it. I'm now so so worried. I havn't washed my hair yet but she said when I wash it loads of it will fall out and I will be bald in places :( What can I do? The hairdresser did warn me my hair will now be damaged and dry but will not fall out. The hairdresser had bright blonde hair and said she dyes her hair all the time and went from jet black to her bleach blonde hair and it is safe and normal. Is my friend just trying to make me worry over nothing and overeacting? Honest answers please thanks xxx

  It would have to be very extreme to go bald in places! It depends how long the bleach was left on for really, it is unlikely that it will all fall out and have bald patches. Most probably some will fall out and continue to fall out but they will only be strands and it won't be noticeable. Your hair is probably damaged from being stripped and bleached so make sure you use a conditioning treatment on it once a week, leaving coconut oil in overnight also helps dry hair :)
