Can a blood pregnancy test be wronh?

  • I have all the symptoms of being pregnant. missed period sore breast nasuea vomiting ect. i have 10 positive home pregnancy test. tonight i went to the er for lower back pain. they gave me motrin vicoden and nausea medication 15 min before admineristing a blood pregnancy test 30 min later come back in my room and told me it was negative. i can understand 1 false positive but not 10. can someone help me. my last period was feb 19 2012

    I agree 10 false positives is practically impossible. Maybe there is a problem, take another pregnancy test the ones with the lid to put back on so you can take it to a doctor, call up a health support line or something and tell them this is your 11th positive test (if it is again positive) but your blood test came back negative. There could be a serious problem, I'd even do a test and go back to er and tell them.

any medication should be given ONLY after a blood pregnancy test. How overdue for your period are you? blood test come up at about 7 days after missed period. If you were pregnant and had a miscarriage, the over the counter test could of still showed pos. I suggest you have a follow up visit with your own Dr.
