How do you smooth pictures?

How many pictures/videos could I take with these SD cards on these cameras?

  • In a few days I'll be going on a trip to and across America for around 17 days and I need some help in regards to SD cards and their memory space. I'll be taking two cameras: - Canon 550D (for pictures) - Sony Handycam HDR-CX110 (for videos) For the Canon 550D I currently have a Sandisk SDHC Class 10 8GB memory card. How many pictures would I be able to take with this? Should I buy more? For the HDR-CX110 I currently have a Sandisk Class 4 16GB memory card. How much video time will I get on this? Thanks a lot!

  • Answer:

Read the manuals for both. Each has a table the shows how much video time or how many stills you can record to different sized cards. It will depend on the quality of the video or still you choose in the options list of the camera or camcorder. Higher quality = less record time or fewer stills. Lower quality = more record time or more stills. You can always buy more cards if you need them while you are on your journey.
