Help, computer is on but the screen won't show?

My computer desktop Welcome screen doesn't show up (stays black) help!?

  • Just 2 days ago this has been happening. I normally turn my computer tower on and the Windows splash logo shows normally, but then the safe mode and start windows normally option shows up. I have tried every single option, if I choose ''Start windows normally'' or ''Last known good configuration (your most recent settings that worked'' then it takes me to the welcome screen but the welcome screen doesn't ever show up it just stays blank as an BLACK for the rest of the time. I tried leaving it on for a while to see if it shows but nothing happens. If I choose ''Safe Mode'', ''Safe mode with networking'' or ''safe mode with command promt'' then it will show me a bunch of these: multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)/WI... it would show me about 30 more of these but with different names after ''DRIVERS/'' I own a dell Windows xp 2005 please anyone help? this is a serious problem that I have to fix ASAP

This can be caused by a viruses, or a worm virus, There is only one thing you can do now, That is to reinstall your operating system again, If you do that and you have any data on the system that you need to save you will lose your data, because you will need to delete the old partitions and make new partitions then format the HDD My advice is get off windows.
