How do I unblock a jail phone number from a land line?

  • My husband is in Steuben County Jail in Bath NY. He tries to call me to talk to me, but I am living at his grandmothers for the moment, and she blocked Steuben County Jail from calling her when his mother was in there... How do I unblock the number? Is there any way? I want to be able to talk to him, but I have no idea how to unblock the number. My number is a land line, not a cell phone btw.

If it has been blocked in some other manner, you'll probably have to call the phone company. Please be sure that Granny doesn't mind you accepting the calls.

It would have to be unblocked from your landline provider.... You would most likely be asked what that number was, and you must call from the phone that he is calling to..
