Should I try meeting guys through online dating websites?

• I'm 17, I'm 5'8" or somewhere around there, I'm 290 lbs. (shut up), and I have autism. I've never been on a date, never had my first kiss, never even been flirted with, and I'm still a virgin (and I'm ashamed to be one). I was liked by a lot of kids in elementary school, but when I got into middle school, it was hell; I was made fun of by a lot of guys for my weight. Well, when I got into high school, I suddenly got paranoid and said to myself, "If guys were rude to me in middle school, I bet they're a lot worse in high school." So a few days after starting high school, I dropped out and started homeschooling. Because of the hell I went through in middle school, I started to find flaws in myself and I could write a novel about them. And I was also led into fear of people, especially guys that are around my age. I already had limited social skills ever since I was a little kid, but they dropped over the years since I started middle school. Now I hardly go out because I'm afraid of being judged based on my looks or interests if anyone even cared for that. Since I got into my later teenage years, I started to desperately want a boyfriend because my sister attracted guys for years and I envied her. I want a boyfriend so bad, but my fear of guys my age keeps holding me back. My sister suggested to go onto online dating websites, but I'm apprehensive on doing that; sometimes if you're interested in someone, they could bring disappointment because they could have lied about anything and showed who they truly are when you meet them in person and you'd lose interest. Well if I were to do online dating, I would disappoint a lot of guys because I'd be too ashamed to show my whole body and only show my face and they wouldn't want a fat person like me. I feel like that there's no hope for me to find love and that I should just die.   NO WAY! The internet is full of MEN with overly suppressed sexual fantasies. If a dude was regularly getting everything he needs from people in person, he wouldn't need the internet to fish out people for his creepy kinks. Don't be like so many girls on the internet and get suckered in by all the attention. One day, someone will come along and love you for who you are. Many people with autism every single day enjoy a normal life with a family full of normal kids with a normal home, and it wasn't the result of online dating.
