Climbing on a bike USA and UK?

  • I see a lot of hype about Fargo Street Climb in LA which is 32% for 512ft actually 26.6% for 0.1miles. Where as Prospect Place Climb, Bathford, Bath, England, UK. Is 30+ for the first 0.1miles of 0.4mile climb. Which to me just seems like Fargo St isn't as steep and hard as they say. Also in all the video's on Youtube of Fargo, people seem to zig zag a lot. Weird.

    Means the LA street is effectively steeper, if you run out of gears the next tactical thing you do is move across the road in a Z pattern to lower the effective grade (same vertical, but longer distance).

The u.s is much further. Would be more of a strain. The reason they zigzag is to take the steepness out of the hill.
