Is sonography worth getting into?

Diagnostic Medical Sonography Florida....?

  • this year i plan on finishing up my pre reqs to apply for the sonography program at my school.... i was wondering if after getting my AA if i should get my bachelors? its part of my plan...but ive heard people say its a waist of time..... I also wanted to ask about the pay?...... i know its different depending on where you live.... i live in florida....around the tampa area..... also if you have any advice about what i can do to better my career..... like if there's a specific type of sonography it would be good to specialize in....

    A Bachelor's isn't necessary if you want to scan. If you plan to teach or be a department head then you would need one. There are 3 main concentrations of ultrasound - General, Echo, and Vascular. I always recommend General first because you learn how to do so many different types of ultrasound, and then later you can always get registered in Echo or whatever interests you.
