How to avoid sagging skin after huge amount of weight loss?

I'm a young male (25) and very overweight (6' tall and 450 lbs +/-). I'm working hard to get in shape for the first time of my life. A major concern I have is that I'm going to have all this loose, flabby skin hanging off me by the time I reach my goal weight of 220 lbs. Anybody have advice or experience with this? By the way - there is no way I could afford the surgery to have the excess skin removed.

If you lose 3lbs a week or less, you shouldn't have TOO much of a problem with sagging skin... do resistance training.. build up muscle as you're losing the weight.. it will help the skin to cling to it all... you can try using different lotions or vitamins, but nothing i've ever seen really works. well it hasn't for me though. doesn't mean you couldn't try it. don't worry about the skin. you're making a huge lifestyle change and that's amazing. you wont even care about the skin when you realize how much better you feel after losing the weight....
