Why do dentists make so much?

Is it true that dentists can make up you need treatment to make money?

This can happen but it is RARE to happen. Most dentists are honest, hard working people who will NOT say you need work that you don't really need. Or they may advise changing your old fillings but will let you know if they think there is an immediate need or if you can wait a while before changing these fillings. Most fillings will NOT last for your lifetime and need to be changed after 10+ years or if the tooth chips. If you ever worry they are making up stuff then go to another dental office for a 2nd opinion.
