Is there a substitute for almond flour?

Substitute almond flour for French macarons?

  • Answer:

Use finely ground almonds instead of almond flour. Pour them into a food processor and grind away. Corn meal would not work due to its texture as well as taste.

No, you cannot substitute cornmeal for almond flour. Cornmeal will not "act" the same way and what you get will not be macarons. If you cannot get almond paste, try to order some almond flour online.
