Where can I apply for Grants and Scholarships?

Anyone know where I can go to apply for grants and scholarships for single mothers for online classes?

  • I am single mother of two, applying for an online course in medical billing and coding. I need financial help in order to go. I am low income, usually work monday-friday 8-5, so online is a must. I am a daughter of a veteran and a granddaughter of a deceased veteran. I tried google, but am not having much luck. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

  • Answer:

Considering your situation and other things, you definitely deserve the grant. But the thing is that you have to seek help from right place. If you do that you will surely get what you are expecting. Best wishes.

Be very careful where you take those classes If it isn't CAHIMM accredited, then you will never be able to sit for RHIT (professional exam) http://www.cahiim.org/ http://www.ahima.org/ Don't waste your money without proper research into this field otherwise, you will be job-less & still in debt... or limited to $8 per hour jobs with just your CCS/CCA Also, depending on your income, given your choice of career path... you should consider talking with your local WIA office to see if you are eligible for them to help pay... you will have to go to their contract provider (who may or may not be CAHIIM accredited)
