What kind of jobs does a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration specialize in Management offers?

Is there any point to getting two associate degrees in business?

  • I am a student at a community college that offers an associates degree in Business Administration that is very similar to the associates degree in Business Management. I have a good job where I'm at and don't want to transfer to a university(the credits transfer towards a bachelors degree.) quite yet until I have enough money. Is there any point in going back and taking those remaining 6 classes to get my Business Management degree once I already have my Business Administration degree? I am going to be around anyways and like to keep busy, but I don't want to waste my money on something that will have no value in my future. Please don't tell me that it will enlighten me or there is no waste of money, because it is, I just want to know if the second degree will hold any weight.

  • Answer:

Having this second degree/major would not help your career in any way. It would be better for you to either do something different that would benefit your career (take Spanish classes, take classes in specific software, etc.), or save the money for when you move on to your bachelors program.

Other answers

If you are planning in the future to transfer to a four year college to earn your Bachelor degree, then you should do some research into what credits they will accept for a CC. Most only want general educational classes from a transfer student I agree with Roaring. It isn't going to help your career or transfer into a four year school to finish.
