What are some really good colleges in Canada?
-
I'm from Wisconsin and I'm a junior this year in high school so I'm starting to go on college trips to figure out where I want to go. I really wanted to visit some colleges in Canada because a lot of my teachers have said there are some really good ones up there. I'm currently unsure of what major I want to pursue and my current cumulative GPA is 4.022 if that makes any difference. Know any colleges in Canada that would be good for me?

Canadian universities are of a uniformly high quality, with few duds (stay out of Lakehead U...). Admission to the half dozen most prestigious Canadian universities is very competitive. You might be better off applying to the "second tier" — U of Western Ontario, U of Waterloo (Especially for Engineering), Dalhousie, etc. Keep in mind, Canadian universities will be more expensive for you than in-state public universities.

It's hard to say which would be best for you considering you don't know what your major will be, but McGill and the University of Toronto are both well known and highly respected places.
