How to get accepted into the college of my choice?

My high school only offers 2 AP classes. (AP ELA and AP Calculus) How can I possibly get accepted into the college of my choice if my school only offers 2 AP classes? And that's only senior year. I really want to get accepted into MIT. Does the fact that my school doesn't offer as many AP's and advanced classes diminish my chances of getting in?

Although colleges take into account the availability of classes, there are plenty of pro-active kids who either take AP classes online, at another school, or even self-study for them, and a top-notch school like MIT will be expecting its applicants to be proactive for their own benefit, not sit around and wait for more to be handed to them on a silver platter.
