What does it mean when you're asked to describe some properties of an element in science?

  • Answer:

I guess the question asks for both physical and chemical properties, i.e. if the element in pure form is a solid, liquid or gas under norm conditions, what structural properties the element itself has, if it's a metal, a metalloid or an insulator, what kind of compounds it forms, if it is toxic or not, etc.
