What can I do to control my nausea?

Will nausea caused by birth control ever go away?

• I’ve been on Ortho tri cyclen lo for 2 ½ months and I’m still experiencing some nausea with it. During my first month I had severe nausea and vomited. The second month I spoke to my gyno and she advised me to take my pill at night. After taking it at night my nausea seemed to go away. This month I’m still taking it at night but I feel very nauseous again and did vomit during my first week of pills. The rest of my symptoms that were severe in the beginning (breast tenderness, bloating etc) have subsided greatly this month and predict they will continue to subside. I do like this pill and it was highly recommended by my gyno for birth control and to clear up my acne. (I’m 23 btw). I don’t want to switch to a lower dose (mine currently has 25mg) because I have heard that because the dose is so low you might end up skipping your period all together (which would entirely freak me out). Although I have heard a lower dose may help my nausea. In anyone's experience, has a symptom taken more than 3 months to go away? If not, can anyone recommend a pill that has 20mg of estrogen that they get regular periods on?

  I was on that too and experienced the same thing! Make sure you take it right before bed! You may also want to eat a small snack it helps with the nausea.
