One it explains better 2 is fun but 1 can explain a lot and you'll eventaully know the WHOLE story except for half because it can be VERY confusing

I recommend starting from the first game, it gives you a better understanding of all the games that come later, and it is quite a fun game itself. You can also see how the game play evolves from game to game as you head through the series.

The first one was very repetitive you go to a new city and do the exact same things. Of course that can be said about them all but the first has no variation whatsoever. AC1 should be pretty cheap so i would recommend playing it just to get the feel for the begging of the series.

It will be fine if you play two because that is where Ezio's story line begins.

If you fully understand what happened in AC1 then by all means go on to start AC2. If not I guess just google it unless you enjoy playing the first one as much as I do. Have fun. Nothing is True. Everything is Permitted.

If you're concerned about spoiling yourself, don't worry too much, the second Assassin's Creed won't spoil anything major for the first one, it's about Ezio's beginnings anyway. But since you already read what happens and you played Brotherhood then you have nothing to worry about XD skip the first if you want, but it's pretty awesome! very challenging compared to the rest of the series.

I completely skipped one and right on to the second AC. I'm understanding the story just fine except for one part at the beginning.

I think so....Assassin creed 2 brings in a new assassin with a new story....so deifnitely you can go for it....
