How to create the best family on sims 3?

I try not to create the kids in create a sim, hey won't share the parents' genetics. I say take your time. I started off with one created sim, now there are numerous grandkids and greatgrandkids. It'll take time to count them all.

Yeah, it's more fun to make generations of sims. What I do, is start with one sim, start a family and good career, then when they get ancient I pick my favorite sim child and have them move away and start their own life/family. Sometimes, though, if i don't see any sims i like for my sims to date i plant new ones in nearby houses. Or 2 if im feeling mean or greedy. I can be quite cruel but then thats the fun of god games. Once, my sim was pregnant and it was her birthday. She had a party and was telling everyone about the pregnancy and was just about to blow out the candles on her cake. Before she did, she went to announce her pregnancy to her dad. Just before she did, he collapsed and died. Everyone started in a circle around her as she sobbed. It was like a freaking movie, I couldn't have planned it better. Then her man proposed to her. LOL! she said yeh, and they grew old happily, blah, blah, blah...

the most you can have is 8 sims so you could have 2 adults and 6 children or 1 adult and 7 children... if you want more than that you will have to get a mod and it can mess up your game.
