How can I play the old 2D Zelda games without an NES?
-
I don't have any of the old game consoles- the oldest I have is GameCube. I want to play the old 2D Zelda games but not on an emulator because 1. it's illegal and 2. I don't want to have to download anything on my computer (I'm not technologically savvy and it sounds complicated). I heard that you can buy some old games that you can play on the 3DS and Wii with points you buy. Can someone tell me which old Zelda games I can get on which new consoles (I have both 3DS and Wii) and how to get them? As many old Zelda games you can find. Thanks in advance.

Since you mentioned you have a Game Cube, I recommend you get The Legend of Zelda : Collectors Edition. It'll take some effort to look for it at Gamestops. It goes for $25 - $35 on Amazon so take a look there. It includes : The Legend of Zelda (NES) Zelda II: The Adventure of Link(NES) Ocarina of Time (64) Majoras Mask(64) It also has a 20 min demo of Wind Waker Remember this can be played on your Wii These are for 3DS via eShop The Legend of Zelda : Links Awakening DX : $5.99 The Legend of Zelda : AMBASSADOR EXCLUSIVE Zelda II: Links Adventure : AMBASSADOR EXCLUSIVE The Legend of Zelda: 4 Swords Anniversary Edition (was available for some time) If you bought the 3DS before the price drop, then you can download the ambassador exclusive games for free, Otherwise you cant obtain these (unless you get an ambassador certified 3DS, save the games to the SD card and then pass them to your 3DS. They have the Ambassador certificate in as an app for proof. You buy these on the Wii Shop Channel: A Link to the Past : 800 points Legend of Zelda: 500 points Zelda II : 500 pionts

for the wii, just go to the virtual console and type in zelda in the search field. i think there are 5 games you can buy, zelda i, zelda ii, a link to the past, ocarina of time, majora's mask. there might be more, but i haven't been to the vc store in quite a while. for the 3ds, it's basically the same thing.
