This question is long but I want to know from opinions, Halloween vs. Psycho?

Which is better? Which is more suspenseful? Who does better direction John or Alfred Who was the better lead Jamie or Janet (R.I.P) Michael vs. Norman O.K. I'm 16, I know I'm young and I don't want hear the crap that I'm too young, or I don't know what I'm talking about or any of that other crap. I know what I'm talking about I've been called a genius, brilliant or smart for my age by many people. But to me personally I prefer Halloween. I think it's more suspenseful, Jamie was a better lead and character, better, Michael is more of a bad-*** than Norman & John gave better direction. I like both movies, they're both personal favorite horror movies of mine, but I think Halloween is scarier than Psycho. I've seen the remake of Psycho I hate it with a passion, I thought the Halloween remake was great. I know Halloween has 7 sequels and too remakes (which people complain about) I love most of the sequels. Halloween II - the best of the sequels (and personally my favorite of the franchise) Halloween III - really underrated Halloween IV - A strong & very entertain return for Michael Halloween V - It stays close to the original (in terms of style with the stalking before killing) Halloween VI - So-so at best Halloween H20 - A brilliant sequel, if Mr. Carpenter directed it it would've been better, but a great installment that would've ended everything Halloween: Resurrection - Horrible Halloween Remake - A good movie, but a decent remake (I don't think Rob needed to do a prequel & spend 30-45 minutes with Michael's back story but an entertaing movie overall) Halloween 2 - Not a good movie at all (but I do give Rob praise for the first 15-20 minutes, and how he showed what effect the aftermath of the previous installment had on the characters.) Psycho II - great sequel (not as good as Halloween II, in my opinion) Psycho III - Meh Psycho IV - so-so Psycho remake one of the worst movies in cinema history "If you've made it this far, maybe & hopefully your willing to go a little further" (I'm about to get to the main point) Imagine Halloween & Psycho without the sequels or the remakes. But to me Michael is more of a badass, he's more frightening, he was systematic, cunning, waited & watch for the right moment to strike. Norman was scary but I found it kind of weird how he dressed in womens clothes & was kind of a momma's boy if I wanted to see a momma's boy I'll watch one of Jason Voorhees' movies. Psycho the daddy of slasher/horror films I've heard it called Halloween the granddaddy of slasher/horror films (last time I've checked granddaddy is better than daddy, but I do know Psycho was made almost 20 years before Halloween and is the first slasher movie, but Halloween is the first iconic slasher movie) But I find it more scary that a man who killed his sister at a young age and was locked up for 15 years then set free every mental patient to cause a diversion to escape, then dresses up in a boiler suit & a pure white William Shanter mask scarier than a man cross dressing. I love both movies, both they're both good movies. I love Halloween more as a movie & a horror movie overall but I don't think Halloween is a better horror movie than "The Shining", but those are my thoughts & opinions on the topic of two of the most iconic horror/slasher films of all time.

I'm in total agreement with you here. The Halloween franchise is a great one. Psycho is great also, but Halloween has seemed to have more of an impact with audiences.
