What to wear while horseback riding?

If I wear an 8 in tennis shoes and snow boots, what size horseback riding boots should I try?

  • I have posted an add on Craigslist because I would like to buy used horseback riding boots, but it would be helpful to know what general size I should try on so I don't waste peoples' time meeting up to try on boots, only to find they don't fit. Does an 8 in tennis shoes translate to an 8 in horseback riding boots usually, or are they sized differently?

if you wear a size 8 shoe you will more than likely need a size 8 riding boot, some brands do differ like shoes some run small some run big, if you do a little research on the brand normally you can find from others who own the boots how the sizing runs, as some one else said go to a tack store and try a few popular brands on and see what size fits you right, i always get mine a tad big so i can double up on socks in the winter but its something you don't have to do, and also ask the seller well what size shoe do you normally wear do these boots run big or small what do you think, good luck with the boot search hope this helped some
