Why does my eye hurt?

  • Its being doing this for a while now, but every morning when i wake up my eye feels like acid or something was in it. Now its starting to happen throughout the day. I dont wear contacts but i do wear glasses. My dad says that its because my eye is dry, I dont know about that but does any one have any ideas? Am gunna see my eye doctor soon but if its nothing serious ill just cancel the appointment

    It might be an infection of micro-organisms like bacteria. You can take them to your eyes unknowingly especially when your eye itches and you unconciously rub them with your hands maybe you were doing something and the hands were dirty. You can wash both eyes with saline and different tissue papers for both eyes 3 times daily for a week, then if it persist , then see a doctor. But advoid touching the eyes with dirty hands when doing something. Also it might be as a result of the glasses you put on, putting on glasses for a long duration of time which is not a contact glass is not good. The eyes need to focus to particular objects at times without glasses. And even when using contact glasses , dont use them all the time, remove it and see without them for sometime and then put them on again.
