How to fill out a job application form?

How to fill out a job application form?

  • I'm a high school student and trying to fill out a job application. It asks under high school: major subject did you graduate type of degree or diploma How do I answer those? And I've never had a job before, so when it asks about past jobs, do I not write anything in those boxes? Do I need to write n/a or a line through it or something? Anybody with information that is up to date would be appreciated! Thanks.

  • Answer:

So where it says major subject and type of degree is usually for the next school info about college .. so what I usually do is under major subject put GENERAL (because there is nothing special in H.S) put that you have not graduated and diploma YET! You can be more specific during the interview. You NEVER leave any part of the application empty, so if you have no work experience write down volunteering experience.. any would do (even if it is moving grass for your neighbor .. just emphasize the skill you learned from it such as being punctual and hard working) oh and when you turn it in ask for the manager so that you can give it to them personally. I know some of my previous co workers would throw the out.. and plus that way she can put a face to the name. And dress nice when you turn it in,

Confused and dazed

I don't think they are asking about high school. I think they mean college. Put the month & year you will graduate from high school and next to the question about college put n/a, and explain this to the person who interviews you.
