How to apply for a job at target?

How to quit my job at target?

  • so im 18 i just have a job stockin shelves at target and i found a new job but what do i say to my manager at target about quitting. seems awkward to me. do i tell the truth that i found a better job or do i make something up? and do i write a letter of resignation or is that too formal for a shelf stocker? what should i say especially considering ill still have to put in my 2 weeks

  • Answer:

I just gave my two weeks today at a law firm. I simply went to the head of human resources, told her I accepted a new position and am giving my two weeks notice. I also told her I was grateful for everything and that I really enjoyed working here. She asked if there was anything she could do to make me stay and I politely said no. I said, if you need me more than two weeks to fill my position, I may be able to work something out. Good luck. It's awkward but you just have to do it.

Be honest, but also have a little tact. You will be respected more. It's always good to leave on a good note, just in case you have to use this Target job as a reference in the future.

Just simply tell them "I'm putting in my 2 weeks" say you got a better job and it's what you need to do right now. Simple :)

On the last day of your job get all mad at them and say "screw you I'm going home." then never talk to them again.
